On this particularly biting Winter morning he was sitting in the same spot with his chihuahua when somebody walked up to them unnoticed, left an apple and a sizable dog biscuit, then walked away.

There has been a report of a suspicious package in one of the carriages. We will be moving again as soon as security has done a sweep through to make sure everything is OK. Please look around you for any suspicious bags, suitcases, anything that isn’t yours and inform the security people if you spot anything. Thank you.”

I was engrossed in my newly acquired copy of Catcher In The Rye when I heard this. I looked up, listened and looked around. A sense of calm blanketed me. I thought if this was going to be my last moment, I would be happy with the life I’ve lived. I briefly wondered what the others were thinking before going back to the pages.

After five minutes or so, the doors closed, and the train continued to take me and the other passengers home.

I’m putting all my CDs into a few massive wallets that hold two to three hundred discs each.  In the process I’m disposing of the cases and the booklets.  Have to admit it wasn’t easy seeing all the beautiful artwork go to the bins, but in the name of storage space it’s the only logical way to go.

This bunch is from the first two milk crates of CDs.  A good mix actually.  Can’t wait to encode them all into the jukebox so I can listen to them anytime I feel like it.
