Fever

I was tossing and turning in the middle of the night, thinking whether I should get up or not.  So I got up.  I turned on the telly to find that the SBS reception was still terrible, but wasn’t ghosting as much as usual, which made it sort of watchable.  I picked up the Australia v Croatia match midway through the first half.  It was like watching a moving impressionist painting, only worse, but I just had to watch.  I was glued to it.  An incredibly tense game it was, and a great game for Australia.  I was particularly relieved to see Harry Kewell score the second equaliser, his first world cup goal.  Hopefully it will serve him well mentally for the Italy match.  I’ve had two hours of sleep, my heart is still pounding, and my head isn’t going to rest.  Australia is throo to the second round.  Omagod.
