Spock Misses The Point

Last night I dreamt that I fell asleep. This wouldn’t be a problem, except I dreamt that I fell asleep while driving, and couldn’t wake up. I could feel the car moving, but I couldn’t see where. I tried to stomp at the brake but it wasn’t slowing the car. I could hear traffic around me. I tried to slap and pinch myself to wake up but my arms wouldn’t move. I knew if I didn’t wake up soon I would run into something or somebody, or run myself off a cliff or bridge or something. So I began to panic, and I started screaming to wake myself up.

I’m not sure if I actually screamed at all in bed, but with some effort I woke up, both in the dream and in bed. I realised I was dreaming that I couldn’t wake up, that I was in bed, and breathed a sigh of relief. It probably took me about half a minute of getting my bearings before falling asleep again, in bed.
