Old Food, Old Taste, Old Smell

Last night I dreamt that I was walking around Chinatown asking shops if they sold Bhud Jai Goh (jelly/cake in small container), or Chau Dau Fu (stinky fried tofu). Both are food that I use to love but haven’t eaten for eons. Everyone shook their heads and said I couldn’t get them in Sydney. I walked from shop to shop, asking and pleading. No luck. I could taste and smell them too, like you do when you really want something. I think it’s the first time I could smell and taste things in a dream, and all without actually having them in front of me. Induced sensations, in a dream! Über cool.

I’m sure this dream was triggered by this photo posted on Flickr by Sailor Z which I saw only two nights before:

And surely this dream has a link with the last dream.
